Chairman steps into part-time role

After seven years at the helm of Redhall, David Jackson relinquished his Executive responsibilities and formally moved into his part-time role as Non-Executive Chairman.

David joined the Redhall Board in September 2005 and has been instrumental in building the organisation into the business it is today. He was previously the Executive Chairman of Peterhouse Group plc, the quoted infrastructure services business, until its sale to Babcock International Group plc in June

2004. He was also Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Eureka! The National Children’s Museum, until his retirement from that role in October 2012. David originally qualified as a chartered accountant before, in his own words, “seeing the light and moving into industry”. He spent 25 years working for other people until 1990, when he bought his first business; his only regret being that he “should have done it sooner!” Although there was no formal announcement made, David was thanked for his years of contribution to the Group as Executive Chairman by the Group Board Directors at a meeting where he was presented with a gift and card. He is enjoying his semi retirement spending time with wife, Elizabeth, his family and his pet dogs, Sam, Roly and Max. He also now has time to relax and enjoy the pastimes he loves; National Hunt racing, social golf and gardening.
